The basic vocabulary and proper nouns in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar's novel "Huzur"

Person; can convey their feelings, thoughts, wishes and dreams with language. Language has an important role in communicating, socializing and transferring culture to future generations. One of the written texts that best reflects a language are novels. For this reason, novel reviews hold a special place for researchers. One of the important writers of Turkish literature is Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar. One of the important treasures of a language is the basic vocabulary and proper nouns. In this study, the basic vocabulary and proper nouns in the novel Huzur by Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, one of the well-known names of Turkish literature, were examined. Study; It consists of 5 parts: introduction, institutional explanations and related explanations, method, findings, conclusion and evaluation. In the introduction part of the study, the problem, purpose, importance, limitations and assumptions of the research are revealed. In the second part, language, communication, vocabulary, basic vocabulary, proper nouns are emphasized. In addition, information about Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's life, personality, works and the novel Huzur are also included. In the third part, explanations about the research model, universe and examples, data collection tools and data analysis were made. In the fourth chapter, the basic vocabulary and proper names of the work, which is the subject of our study, are examined. The basic vocabulary and proper nouns in the work are classified and given with example sentences, and these data are interpreted and expressed with graphics. In the fifth and last part of our study, the findings were analyzed and an analysis and evaluation was made about the basic vocabulary and proper nouns.
