Abstract (EN)

In our study, the life, works and Sufi view of Ahmet Yüksel Özemre, who is known as Turkey's first Atomic Engineer, are examined. Özemre is a prolific figure who has written many works and educated many students. Although his academic identity is known and appreciated by many people at home and abroad, his Sufi aspect has remained hidden at the same rate. The fact that there is not much information about his mystical aspect in the sources is a situation he preferred due to his melâmi attitude. In Özemre's cultural work, information about his Sufi aspect has come to light for the first time. It was evident in these works that he had a Halvetî-Ushshshakî attitude and a Hamzavî-Melâmî cheer. Özemre grew up seeing and experiencing the Sufi culture thanks to the neighborhood he lived in since his childhood and the regulars of the Attar Shop, where he was a regular with his father. Özemre's Sufi thought was predominantly included in his works titled Portrait of the Perfect Murshid and Legacy of the Perfect Murshid. In this study, his Sufi aspect is analyzed based on the information that Özemre hid between the lines and the articles written about him. In the light of this information, it was seen that Özemre tried to live the Sufi culture, which he was familiar with from childhood, despite the conditions of the period, and although he did not express it verbally much, he conveyed the Sufi life by living it through his behavior.
