Abstract (EN)

Decision making and implementation is a vital process in which businesses spend time and invest. Systematic and logical approaches are crucial to success, and solutions for the problem of decision making are sought. To find the optimum solution of decision problems, it is necessary to use multi-criteria decision making methods (ÇKKV). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHY-AHP) is a method that allows the decision maker to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative criteria within the same problem and achieve the optimum result. Industrial enterprises are one of the basic building blocks of economic return with many inputs and sectoral links. It has many decisions to make and many solutions to be produced. The forest products industry sector, which is in the position of being active in the manufacturing industry enterprises, is divided into many sub-sectoral stages and branches. The forest products have the most intensive production structure of the furniture industry in the industrial sector, the input and output and the forward and backward connections that the owned sector has. In the field of furniture industry, which has to work with a large number of suppliers due to its production structure, the choice of supplier is crucial for the failure of production process and it is indispensable for success. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the most suitable supplier selection process with AHP method in a furniture factory operating in Trabzon Organized Industrial Zone. By means of statistical analysis with the help of the determined main and sub criteria, suppliers were ranked and suitable proposals for the furniture factory were developed.
