Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, level of noise exposure of factory workers in a wooden door producing company is investigated. In the second part of the thesis, it is aimed to determine the risks in the workplace and conduct risk analysis. Measures that can be taken to reduce the noise in order to prevent employees from being affected by the negative effects of the emitted noise is discussed. Measurements were taken from 22 different points in the factory. According to this study, it was determined which machines emitted more noise, and colouring method was used in the field study according to the noise levels. Minimum and maximum values were determined according to the data obtained. The highest noise emitting machine at the factory was found to be edge banding. Investigations were made at the factory site and risks were identified. In addition, a risk assessment table was prepared according to Fine Kinney method. Finally, results of the measurements made were evaluated and it is discussed whether the exposures were i compliance with the legislation or not. Risks were defined in the risk assessment table and possible outcomes are evaluated. As a result of this table, recommendations were made on activities that can prevent or minimize risks.
