Abstract (EN)
Violence against women is an abuse of human right whether it happens domestic or in public. An efficient campaign is required to be accomplished for protection of women and family. Prohibiting discrimination on a gender basis is the very first step of it. Since the violence is nourished from male-dominated social structure of inequality of women and men, it prepared itself a legitimate basis. Within my research, by considering especially the Constitution of Turkish Republic, Turkish Criminal Code, Turkish Civil Code and 6284 numbered Law On Protection of The Family And Prevention of Violence Against Women which is come into force with the effect of Istanbul Convention, and still in the force (the national regulations) and "Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence", as it is known as Istanbul Convention (the international regulation) that have a significant role on campaign of violence against women and prevention of family, it is tried to be revealed the problems faced in practice and the missing aspects thereof.
