Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the principles of traditional Turkish foreign policy, along with the foreign policy principles and discourses that began to be used during the AK Party Era, have been attempted to be explained. With this new era, the scope of the principles that have begun to be used in foreign policy and their practical applications have been demonstrated through examples. An analysis of the problems experienced in Turkish-American relations during this period has been conducted, addressing the factors that facilitated rapprochement since the beginning of relations with the USA and led to an alliance, while also attempting to explain the reasons for the crises and estrangements experienced in bilateral relations. The importance of the two actors in Central Asia working together with harmonious policies and cooperation for the resolution of these crises has been emphasized. It has been shown that the cooperation to be made in this region will not only repair relations but also provide common areas of interest for both states. In relation, it has been attempted to prove that the issues experienced in the Middle East and Turkey's immediate surroundings would be much more harmonious and constructive in the Central Asia region. The impact of the cooperation developed within the framework of common interests in this region on bilateral relations and its importance for the Central Asia region have been discussed.
