Abstract (EN)

"In this study, an annotated bibliography of articles prepared in the context of epic sagas in academic publications between 1950 and 2022 is presented. In addition to its primary theme of heroism, the epic, one of the most significant aspects of Turkish folk iteratüre, encapsulates many cultural elements of the society in which it emerged. Numerous academic studies, both theoretical and practical, have been conducted on epics. This study analyzed various articles directly related to epics or addressing other topics where epics played a significant role. An annotated bibliography of these articles has been provided. As no comprehensive, thesis-level bibliography of epics based on articles has been previously prepared, this study aims to compile a concise and systematic bibliography. Given the vast corpus of Turkish epics, substantial research has been conducted and continues to evolve in this field. This study aims to contribute to future research and enrich academic endeavors."
