Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate and describe the prevalence and the risk factors of voice disorders in academicians. The method of the study is survey. Participants are the academicians of Anadolu University's faculties, institutions, and conservatoire. The total number of participants is 56. Independent variables of this study are gender, age, work organization, work load, habits and life quality; dependent variable is pain or irritation in throat. Self-evaluation electronic questionnaire was implemented to the participants. The data collected from participants was analyzed by Chi-square, Continuity Correction, Fisher's Chi-square tests. The result of the study indicates that there is a significant correlation between the maximum student in per class and the prevalence of pain or irritation in throat. No significant correlation found between other independent variables and pain or irritation in throat. Thus, it can be thought that the risk of voice disorder is increasing due to the maximum number of student in per class.
