Abstract (EN)
The Akdağ Mass is located in the Black Sea Region, on the Amasya and Samsun Province border. Suluova west of the site, Lâdik lake in the North, Taşova district in the east, and Yeşilırmak river in the south. The aim of this study is to reveal the tectonic effect of the North Anatolian Fault on the Akdağ Mass by morphometric and hipsometric indices. Another aim of this study is to determine the degree and distribution of tectonic activity. For these purpose, 81 river basins which are flowing on the mass have been determined and specific indices have been applied to each river basin. By combining the results of the indices applied to the basins, the degree and distribution of the tectonic activity have been demonsrated. The rivers on the Akdağ Mass mostly have a high degree of tectonic activity. 45 % of 81 river basins have a high tectonic activity, 43 % have medium and 10 % have low tectonic activity. Only Karaağaç River has a very high tectonic activity in the study area.
