A research on folk literature and folklore in region of Akkuş (Ordu)

The subject of this research is Ordu Akkuş Region folkloric and public literature works. First, the emphasis was put on the subject and field of the study. After gathering preliminary information, we have carried out a general review of our study field, Akkuş region. Once the preparations were completed, we have tried to collect materials using field research method. Materials collected during the field research have been computerized. In the "Introduction" part, mostly problems, purpose, importance, assumptions and boundedness regarding the subject of our dissertation have been mentioned. We have tried to touch upon the previous works done on our subject, which is Public Literature and Folklore, in the "Related Body of Literature" part. After that, in the "Related Research" part, the sources providing information about ourK2 study field, Akkuş region are mentioned. In the "Method" part, information on the methods and techniques we have used while conducting the study is given. "Findings and Commentary" part presents a brief history of Akkuş region. The parts titled "Public Literature" and "Folklore" are the main subject of our study and we have tried to evaluate the materials collected from the field in these parts. We have tried to implement the classifications generated by experts in the field regarding the collected materials. Persons who have explained the collected materials to us have been enumerated and detailed information about them is given in the Appendix, under the "Source Persons" table. In the "Results" part, evaluations on the obtained materials, applications and thoughts and their practicality and importance in the present day have been made.
