Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, studies on smart grids (Smart Grid), which are called new generation electrical power systems, are included in order to provide energy to the consumer without interruption and to use it more efficiently. In a pilot region where smart grids are applied in our country, investigations have been made based on loss and leakage detection. The number of equipment used for the creation of smart grid systems, the amount of energy measured after the creation (kwh) and the number are given. Loss and leakage analyses and controls were made in these systems. Accordingly, in the transformer-based loss-leakage analysis, the leakage formation status according to the consumption loss of some subscribers given as an example, the strategies applied in the detected leakage situations and the loss-leakage rates according to the years are given. According to the results obtained, 3-year measurement follow-up was carried out. In 2018, the energy measured before the start of Smart Grid applications was 80,162,980 kwh, in 2019 92,958,724 kwh, in 2020 105,375,317 kwh, and the billing increase was determined to be 24%. Depending on the increasing energy demand, the total number of subscribers in the region was 42939 in 2018, 44286 in 2019 and 45245 in 2020, an increase of 5%. When the number of invoices created regularly every month is sorted by years, 279493 invoices were created in 2018, 292577 in 2019, and 317187 in 2020. Accordingly, loss and leakage rates were 74.11% in 2018, 68.62% in 2019 and 55% in 2020. Keywords: Smart Grids, Loss-Leakage Analysis, Energy Efficiency
