Abstract (EN)
Investments in the field of renewable energy in our country, as well as all over the world is increasing. Wind energy which is one of these sources, has become one of the popular investments in recent years. In this study the state of wind power in the world and in our country is explained, In addition to this the planned wind power on state-funded projects are mentioned. Wind speed probability distribution functions for the processing of data are described and the parameters of the probability distribution function used in calculations of the wind power density are explained. Wind energy potential in Aksaray region is determined using the data recorded at Aksaray Meteorological Station. Power density calculations are made using the hourly recorded wind data for last ten years. Rayleigh probability density function is used in determining the power density for different height and lengths of the wing, In addition, suggestions were made that could indicate more clearly of the energy potential of the region.
