Abstract (EN)
In this study, the feasibility of acoustic black hole based bass traps operating in the low frequency band is investigated. First of all, simulation-based acoustic black hole designs were made. For this purpose, the exponential power law formulas on which the rib distances and heights of acoustic black holes depend were determined by parametric scans. The geometry that gives the best absorption coefficient and is feasible is realized and its effect on the acoustic absorption of a classroom is determined by frequency response measurements. The measurements yielded results consistent with the simulation studies. It was observed that there were noticeable improvements at 200 Hz and above, especially in basic room acoustic parameters such as EDT, T20, T30 and clarity. It is thought that the exponential power law functions used in acoustic black hole designs will be investigated by optimization methods and the effect of the number of black holes on the performance in order to increase the cross section will be examined.
