Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the effects of Naringin on acutely exercised rat liver tissues were investigated. In the study, rats were divided into four groups. These groups are Control (KO), Naringin (N), Exercise (E), Naringin + Exercise group (NE). Treadmill was used in the exercise program. Rats were accustomed to running for two weeks. Acute exercise program was applied one day later. As a result of the program, liver tissues of rats were taken. MDA, GSH, GR, GST, AChE and Ces enzyme activity levels were determined in the tissues. While MDA level, AChE and Ces enzyme activity levels increased in group E, GSH level and GR, Ces enzyme activation level decreased. MDA level and Ces enzyme activity level decreased in group NE compared to group E. GSH, GST and Ces enzyme activity levels increased in group E compared to group NE. From our results, the antioxidant effect and protective effect of Naringin on acutely exercised rat liver tissues were observed. Keywords: Acute exercise; Rat; Liver; Naringin; Enzyme
