Abstract (EN)

In recent years, although a lot of research and studies have been done on increasing sheet metal forming methods, the desired level has not been reached in industrial applications. Incremental shaping method, which is open to development within the scope of production techniques, are promising techniques in terms of prototype production methods. In previous studies, it is seen that experiments and production methods were carried out predominantly in CNC milling. Al 5005 alloy was chosen as the material in this research. Because, in previous studies, there is no study related to increasing forming of Al 5005 sheet metal. In this study, it was carried out by using negative incremental shaping method on CNC lathe. The effects of the forming 1mm Al 5005-H24 sheet plate on the tool path effect, speed and step amount on wall thickness changes and surface roughness were investigated. Different tool path strategies have been tried and experiments have been conducted to increase depth. Experiments were carried out between various wall inclination angles. Cut cone-shaped plates up to 30 mm in height were investigated. According to the experimental results, the maximum wall inclination angle θmax: 64° was found. Keywords: CNC Lathe, Maximum Wall Angle, Negative Incremental Shaping.
