Özet (EN)

This thesis, which aims to analyze the profile of darwishes and awliya in Alevi and Bektashism traditions, focuses on the life, clothing and worship styles of darwishes. Since the first period of the emergence of the darwish tradition, these characteristics have continued their existence in Anatolia and the Balkan lands by undergoing changes. So much so that, from the ascetic understanding that promoted a life contrary to the cultural and social order of the geography they were in, they embraced the sufi dimension of Islam in their lives based on love. We aim to make general typological inferences about the darwishes in the light of the menakibnamas-velayetnamas, which are the main source of the study. For this reason, in addition to the Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli's Velayetname, other menakıbnames (Demir Baba, Otman Baba, Sarı Saltuk, Hacım Sultan, Kızıl Deli, Kaygusuz Abdal, Abdal Musa, Ebul Vefa etc.) are among the works considered as the main source. In addition, the Cafer-i Sadık Buyruk's, one of the most important sources of Alevi belief, was also used as an important reference. Finally, the similarities and differences between the miracles worked by the darwishes were also analyzed.
