Prophetic investigation in Alevi-Bektasi classical sources

Alevism-Bektashism is one of the religious and social groups that emerged in a fertile geography and took its current form through various interactions and changes. The group, which has a considerable place in our country in terms of population density and historical recognition, has been a subject of curiosity and research from past to present. Various opinions have been put forward regarding the naming, such as a sect, sect, mystical formation or a syncretistic belief system. Various evaluations have been made by different circles about issues such as the history, beliefs and practices of Alevism-Bektashism. The content of their belief systems and the nature of their practices were compared with the principles of general Islamic understanding and the group was tried to be understood. As a matter of fact, it is important to analyze the written sources well in order to get to know this structure closely. Because the works provide information to guide us about the structure of this world of thought. The study deals with the notion of prophecy in the classical works of Alevism-Bektashism. The aim of the research is to try to determine at what point the perception of prophethood is located in traditional Alevi-Bektashi thought. In this direction, a literature review was carried out by making use of various sources written in the literature, based on the series of classical works published by the Turkish Religious Foundation.
