Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the political philosophy of Russian thinker and political theorist Alexandr Gelyevich Dugin, with a particular focus on his perspectives regarding the Islamic world. It aims to evaluate Dugin's prominent ideas and insights in relation to the political and cultural dynamics of Islamic geography. As a notable critic of the Western-centric unipolar world order, Dugin advocates for a multipolar global structure and promotes an alternative civilizational model to globalization. In the aftermath of the Cold War, he reinterpreted the concept of Eurasianism and developed a theoretical framework that remains influential in contemporary geopolitical discourse. The primary objective of this study is to systematically analyze Dugin's philosophical approach and to assess his views concerning Islamic societies. The relative scarcity of comprehensive academic work addressing Dugin's political theories particularly his thoughts on Islam highlights the scholarly significance of this research. In the context of increasingly strengthened Turkey–Russia relations, Dugin's intellectual framework offers valuable perspectives for Turkish academia to consider. The thesis is structured in three main chapters. The first chapter outlines Dugin's life, ideological development, and published works. The second chapter delves into his core theoretical contributions, including Neo-Eurasianism and the Fourth Political Theory, which form the foundation of his political philosophy and offer alternative paradigms in modern international relations. The third chapter provides a thorough analysis of Dugin's interpretations of the Islamic world, examining both his strategic and philosophical stances in relation to Islamic civilization and its role within his broader geopolitical vision
