Abstract (EN)

With the increasingly complex business structures and changing socio-economic situations, business management and relations between employees and managers are becoming more and more important. Strategies, management styles and relations with employees, which are determined by managers to achieve business objectives, play a key role in terms of organizational efficiency and sustainability efforts. In this study, the data collected from 13 State Schools in Başakşehir district of Istanbul were investigated in order to examine the relationship between transformational leadership and its sub-dimensions, Idealized Influence, Individualistic Interest, Ispirational Motivation and Intellectual Stimulation and Cognitive Trust and Affective Trust, which are the subscales of trust to the manager and subdimensions. In line with the aim of the research, the transformational leadership behaviors of the managers and their employees' trust in their managers were determined and the relationship between them was examined. In addition, it was checked whether there was a difference in trust between the employees according to their demographic characteristics such as age and gender. Therefore, there was no significant difference between gender and trust, but there was a significant difference between age groups and trust. In certain age groups, it was found that there was an increase in the sense of trust compared to other age groups. The results of the study showed that transformational leadership behavior positively influenced the confidence of the manager and the highest effect was individual attention and ideal effect which is one of the sub-dimensions of transformational leadership.
