Abstract (EN)
In recent years, especially with the increasing competition between organizations, the needs for distinctive practices amongst organizations have been raised and continues getting important. These are the concept of leadership and trust in a leader. Leadership can be said as the basis of the individual's behavior in order to control the movements of the organization for (in line with) common purposes. Trust in a leader is the trust of employees in the behavior and practices of leaders within the organization. Employees can trust a leader based on their perceived leadership style. Trust is an extremely effective element in terms of both employees and the productivity of the organization. Leaders cannot establish the same level of relationship with every employee. The main purpose of leaders in organizations is to influence the activities of organization's members. The influencing of employees by leaders is deemed necessary for organizations to achieve their goals. Because the roles, behaviors and strategies used by the leaders affect the values, beliefs and behaviors of the employees as well as the success and adaptation of the tasks in organizations. This is only possible if the strategies and behaviors followed by the leaders are perceived correctly by the employees. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of leadership styles perceived by individuals on trust in a leader. For this reason, the leadership styles of each participants and their perception of trust in a leader was tried to be determined by the applied scales. The data obtained from the perceived leadership and trust in a leader scales were analyzed with the SPSS program and presented in tables. The results of the analysis for the hypothesis established within the scope of the study are as follows: Firstly, according to the t test and Anova test results, which were primarily conducted with the aim of identifying differentiation in line with the demographic characteristics of the participants, it was determined that there was no significant difference between gender of the participants with their perceived leadership styles and trust in a leader. In addition, while there was a significant difference between the marital status of the participants and their perceived leadership styles, no difference was found in the dimension of trust in a leader. A significant difference was found between the educational status of the participants with their trust in a leader and their perceived leadership style. It has determined that there is a high level of positive relationship between transformational leadership and transactional leadership, which are among the leadership styles perceived by the participants, and a moderated positive relation between interactional leadership and liberal leadership style. According the results of regression analysis conducted to determine the impact of perceived leadership style on trust in a leader and the relationship between them, it was found that perceived leadership style has a significant impact on trust in a leader.
