A review on Musahabe-i Edebiye of Ali Emiri

Ali Emîrî Efendi is one of the important figures who grew up in the last period of Ottoman Empire.A lot of work has been done on the life and works of Ali Emîrî. There is no independent study on his work named 'Musâhabe-i Edebiye'. This study was done to contribute this field. In this work named 'Musahabe-i Edebiye: Divan-ı Yahya' Ali Emiri Efendi criticized Sheikh ul-Islam Yahya's Divân which was published by Asâr-ı Mufide Library book series.After published in the Ikdam Newspaper, the article was created by its author by being cut and attached to a notebook. It is registered at Millet Library,Ali Emîrî,Literature,no:523. The study consists of four sections.In the first part ,the problem,reason,aim and importance of the research is emphasized. In the second part, information about his life, works, literary personality, and his understanding of criticism is given. And in the third part;The criticism understanding of Ali Emri Efendi is evaluated and our main issue, the work named Musâhabe-i Edebiye: Divân-ı Yahya was firstly gained into the modern Turkish language by Latinizing it and in the work , critics against Sheikh ul-Islam Yahya's Divân have been tried to detect.And in the last part, the text ,which is translated to our modern Turkish, is included and the original text is added to the study.
