Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of alkaline stress on germination and seedling development of grass pea (Lathyrus sativus L.) were investigated. As plant material landraces 4403 and 1603 and the registered varieties GAP Mavisi and İptaş were used. Alkali stress was generated using Na2CO3 and applied at 4 concentrations (25, 50, 100, 150 mM) and also pure water was used as control. The study was arranged as split plot design with 3 replications . The germination and seedling growth characteristics were determined in the pot environment in the climate room containing a constant temperature of 25 ° C, 12 hours light-12 hours in dark conditions and 70% humidity. As a growth environment, soil taken from the agricultural areas in the region was used. In the experiment, germination rate, shoot length, root length, number of branches, shoot and root dry weights, ADF and NDF contents, K, P, Ca, Mg ratios and protein ratio were examined. It has been determined that genotype and alkali doses have important effects on the investigated properties. The sodium has positive effect on all properties except germination properties and root dry weight but alkali concentration was important for this effect. The high doses of alkali stress has adversely affected the properties examined. However, significant increase in Mg and protein content was observed, even at high doses.
