Abstract (EN)

In this study, according to DSM-IV-TR criteria49 alcohol and 31 drug addicts patients between the ages of 15-65 were compared among themselves and also to 62 healthy people according to; the frequency of enforce to violence and exposure to violence, types of violence and assessment of the factors affecting the violence; the relationship between violent behavior and impulsivity, aggression, anger, traumatic childhood experiences; whether there is a difference of violence prevalance between the periods of withdrawal, remission or influence of alcohol/drug. Participants were evaluated with a questionnaire form including questions related with sociodemographic characteristics of violence, Buss-Perry Aggression Scale, Barratt Impulsivity Scale, the State Trait Anger Scale, the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, Hamilton Depression Scale and the Anxiety Inventory.
