Environmental effect cost analysis of Alkumru dam

In the scope of this thesis, environmental effect cost of Alkumru Dam that has not been analyzed up to now was researched, and data from the research was assessed. While there are present studies about other dams in aforementioned context, it is out of the question for Alkumru Dam. The claim that the dam stands on a steel region and oil fields, makes it necessary to point out the environmental effect cost of this dam. Through this study, provide an idea for the studies that will be formed after him, Alkumru Dam will be understood much better. This thesis is firstly composed of general information regarding the dams and hydroelectric power plants, and then observational work using the example of Alkumru Dam, finally findings and examinations. With energy production and revenue increases, it is understood that Alkumru Dam can pay off its construction cost and 50-year environmental cost in 8.8 years. In conclusion, Alkumru Dam is a fertile project that will contribute a value to the national economy during its 50-year existence.
