Tourism and recreation activities in Germany's Baden-Württemberg state

Baden-Württemberg is an economically highly developed state with a very central location in the heart of Central Europe. The state, whose industry has come into prominence as the main factor in its development, has many natural and historical attractions that can be referred to as a touristic destination today. In this study, the geographical features of Baden-Württemberg, the types of tourism and the distribution of touristic places within the framework of 3A "attractiveness", "accommodation", "transportation" opportunities in terms of tourism and recreation activities and the preliminary between economic activities. It is aimed to reveal the existing potential for the development of the plan. The geology, morphology, hydrographic structure and natural features of Baden-Württemberg have been influential in the development of many tourism activities. In this direction, various recreation activities brought with it, especially by thermal tourism and winter tourism, add vitality to the tourism of Baden-Württemberg. Especially Black Forests and Lake Constance are among the areas where tourists and recreational activities are most intense. In the first part of our study, the effect of the physical geography features of Baden-Würtemberg on tourism has been examined. In the second part, the economic geography features of the region were tried to be mentioned. The kingdoms that existed in its history left many valuable artifacts in the region, and the state was equipped with many attractive factors such as palaces, castles and religious works. These tourist attractions as well as accommodation and transportation constitute the undeniable elements of tourism. In the last part, these elements are evaluated with a geographical view. It can be easily seen that tourism and recreational activities in the Baden Württemberg region will gain more importance and increase their place in the economy with each passing year.
