Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT Title of The Thesis: INTERPRETATION OF THE VERSES ON SALE AND USURY (A Study from the Perspective of Jurisprudential Exegesis) Author: Fakhır Mohammed MARF Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Naim DÖNER Department:: Department of Basic Islamic Sciences Bilim Dalı : Tefsir Bilim Dalı Date of Acceptance: ../….. 2025 Sayfa Sayısı : XI (Ön kısım) + 237(tez) This dissertation examines the Quranic verses from which the jurisprudential rulings under study were derived, the comprehensive meaning of these verses, and the jurisprudential and contemporary issues related to each of them. Since all sciences ultimately reference the Quran, and the Quran is the primary source and most abundant wellspring of knowledge, it was imperative for scholars to pay significant attention to deriving rulings from the Holy Quran, which indicates its status and importance. We need to highlight their methodology in referring to the Quran and their process of inferring rulings for emerging issues. The significance of this topic lies in facilitating and simplifying access to Islamic legal rulings from Quranic verses through the most direct means, via a specialized book that compiles verses and their rulings. I selected this topic for reasons including: its connection to understanding Allah's rulings in His esteemed Book, the immense importance of explaining rulings to people in their religious and worldly affairs, and the application of contemporary forms of sales and usury (riba) to Islamic jurisprudential principles. The dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction encompasses the importance of the topic, reasons for its selection, research objectives, and the study plan and methodology. The first chapter, titled "Interpretation of Sales Verses and Their Rulings," comprises three sections. The second chapter addresses the usury (riba) verses and their rulings in the Holy Quran within two sections. The final chapter explores the comparison between usury, interest, and profit, while presenting the most important legitimate alternatives to usury in Islamic economics across three sections, along with highlighting the study's key findings. Keywords: Interpretation (Tafsir), Holy Quran, Sales (Bay'), Usury (Riba), Rulings on Sales and Usury
