Abstract (EN)

In this study, definitition, purpose and means of financial system that establishes the building stones of economical world is analysed and the way that modern-day financial system works and the means that are being used is explained. Then, definition, purpose and the kind of means that Islamic financial system has, which is expected to be an alternative to classical economics, are adressed. The role and importance that interest holds in modern-day financial system is pointed out and by specifying main prohibitions of Islamic finance, notably interest, the kind of alternatives that can replace failing components of classical finance is discussded. Furthermore, guidance of Koran verses and hadiths are refered. The reason why Islamic finance has become a nececity nowadays is mentioned and how much of an importance Islam places on establishing social solidarity and cooperation; social order and fair income distribution, is conveyed. A comparison between rational human model, also known as "homo economicus" that forms the foundations of the modern-day financial system and the Muslim human model that wishes a financial system that is build whitin the scope of Islamic religion, is done. Answers for questions like "What are the differences between the rational human and the islamic human" , "How do the decision-making mechanism for these two work" are looked for.
