Collocation dictionary of verbs in Altun Yaruk

The aim of the study is to determine the collocation patterns of the verbs of the work called Altun Yaruk belonging to the Old Uighur Turkic period; thereby contributing to a better understanding of the work by determining the different meanings and values that verbs have acquired in various linguistic contexts. For this purpose, a holistic approach was adopted by combining both frequency and meaning-based approaches in the study, and software called WordSmith Tools (8.0) was used, which allows the analysis of one or more texts while determining the collocations of verbs. In addition, according to the meaning-based approach in the study, the co-occurrence use of verbs is separated from other word combinations within certain criteria. In addition, according to the meaning-based approach in the study, the co-occurrences formed by the verbs are distinguished from other word combinations within certain criteria. The collocations obtained as a result of the research were classified according to the type of word they belonged to and were listed alphabetically in the dictionary part of the study. The study consists of five sections. In the first section, the reason, importance, purpose and method of the study are given. In the second section, the most prominent features of WordSmith Tools (8.0) are introduced. In third section, the term collocation, collocation approaches, properties and classification of collocations and finally the criteria used to determine collocations are discussed. The fourth chapter is the dictionary part and the collocations determined in the work are included here. In Conclusion section, the analysis of the obtained findings is presented.
