A syntactic study on the eight book of Golden Light (Altun Yaruk) (1070-2133)

Altun Yaruk Sudur ( Golden Light ) appears to be one of the most important works when considering the Old Uyghur Turkish. The work, which is a product of Buddhist Uyghur literature, is quite voluminous. In this study, a syntax analys is was made on the Eighth Book of Altun Yaruk (1070-2133). In the study, information about Uyghur history and literature is given after the introduction. Subsequently, after giving place to the views on syntax, the sentences were classified. Then, in the section titled "Syntax Analysis on the Lines of Altun Yaruk Eighth Book 1070-2133", which constitutes the main part of the thesis, after each sentence in the relevant section was translated into modern Turkish, the syntax of these sentences was examined; the sentences are classified and all the word groups in the sentence are listed. In the conclusion part, the examinations made and the resulting data were evaluated.
