Determination of temporal changes by Alucra Foresty Enterprise socio-economic conditions

Abstract (EN)

Technology has become the biggest power of our times. The science word is aware of this power, too. The science word aware of this power has been using this power almost in its entire works. Thanks to the technology, scientists are more close to the reality and also gain wrong results in a less average. In addition, with the help of technology, the planning of the forests can be done in shorter time. The Forest consists of many living and non-living beings. Forest Management is at the bases of forest planning. In management planning, there are mostly benefited from the geographical information system (GIS) and remote sensing system. In this study, it has been studied the changes having happened in forest structure and in other land use classifications in years between 1987 and 2013 according to time and conditions with the help of Management planning in Alucra Forest Operation Directorate. For this reason, stand maps in Management planning have been used to set up positional data base. These changes are produced by land use classifications, period classes and closeness classes. The effects of population exchanges and zons removed near settled area on forests are also being studied. According to this, sum of the forest area is 135590.5 ha. In 1987, forest in Alucra Forest Operation Directorate consist of areas, of which belongs to 38.5% for agriculture, 30.9% for forest opening, 20.7% for defective forest, 8.3% for productive forest, 0.9% for inhabiting and 0.4% for others. But in 2013, the areas of Directorate consist of 45.9% as forest land, 18.3% as productive forest, 17.5% as agriculture, 17% as defective forest, 0.9% as inhabiting and 0.4% as other areas. With regards of this result, between the years 1987 and 2013, there have been some changes as 9.9% increase in productive forest land, 3.9% decrease in defective forest land, 15% increase in forest opening, 21% decrease in agriculture land, and 0.1% decrease in inhabiting land in the forest of Alucra Forest Operation Directorate. The most amount of increase is seen in the forest opening. Productive forest land has also increased. Areas of inhabiting, agriculture and defective forest lands are seen to be decreased. And also the population has decreased. While the number of population settled in the boundaries of Forest Operation Directorate was 22158 in 1990, it has decreased to 9811 in 2013. In this decrease, the increase of forest areas is to be affective. The zons removed around settled areas at certain intervals have resulted in decrease of population, which shows the effects of decreased population on forest. Therefore, especially decrease in agriculture land and increase in forest area are seen. To sum up, with respect to study work, thanks to conditional data base, forest sources and other land use classifications of Alucra Forest Operation Directorate are being determined according to time changes occurred between the years of 1987 and 2013. And it is found that structure of forest sources and land use classifications have changed in a respectable degree due to the regular forestry activities, social pressure and demographic factors.
