Abstract (EN)

In recent century, one of the most important efforts of scientists is to find the solution of health problems due to the negativities triggered by the use of advancing technology. One of the most important negativities is the vibration, which we are exposed to at every point of our lives. The effect of vibration is seen as tiredness in vehicles. In order to prevent the negative effects of vibration, it is possible to take some technical measures. The most important one of them is the works aiming to decrease the effects of vibration source. In this study, it has been aimed to decrease the vibration reaching the passengers in vehicle seats. For this purpose, seat leg has been produced from aluminum-foam material via vacuum casting method. For this purpose, 2 different experimental works have been done. First, amplitude frequency graphics have been obtained in laboratory medium by using modal analysis method. Second, by making measurements while the vehicle was moving, acceleration-time graphics have been obtained. By comparing the results of both of experiments, it has been determined that aluminum-foam leg has damped the vibration more than original leg could.
