Abstract (EN)

In this study, MK-750 based and ?slag added MK-750 based geopolymers synthesis at 750C with sodium silicate, sodium hydroxide, slag and alunitic kaolin. Primarily geopolymerisation behavior of alunitic kaolin is detected by geopolymerisation test. Geopolymerisation test showed that molar ratio of H2O/(Na2O,K2O) is critical composition parameter. Synthesized geopolymer products consist of amorphous and ?crystalline quartz? phase. FT-IR and NMR analyses showed that most of the aluminum atoms changed to tetrahedral coordination with the geopolymerisation. Geopolymer?s microstructure changed with slag addition to compositions. EDS, NMR and FT-IR analyses showed that slag addition lead to increase in active solid/liquid ratio in the system. This phenomenon eliminates some challenges caused by dilution and lead to increase in compressive strengths of alunitic kaolin based geopolymers.
