Abstract (EN)

In our thesis, information is given about Amarna Age covering 1400- 1350 B. C. The external relations of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization in the direction of political and diplomatic correspondence are examined.In this period, international correspondence reached the highest level and political relations were tried to be conducted in this way. Our study consists of nine main topics. In the first chapter, the sources of the Amarna Age are discussed and political relations between states are examined.II. In the chapter, the historical geography of Egypt is discussed and the effect of this geography on political life is examined.III. The chapter provides information about the age of Amarna In this section, III. Amenofis and IV. Amenofis is emphasized.IV. It has been mentioned how much the religious reform initiated by Amenofis affected Egypt and how it affected the political field.IV. The chapter focuses on the Egyptian-Hittite relations.The extent to which the Egyptian-Hittite relations took place in the light of Amarna Letters was examined and international relations of the two powerful states of that period were tried to be reflected. Section V deals with the Egyptian-Assyrian relations and emphasizes the rise of the Assyrian State and its apparent threat to Egypt.VI. In the chapter, the political developments between Egypt and Mitanni states are tried to be clarified by considering Amarna letters.VII. Egyptian-Babylonian relations are discussed in the chapter. Again, the correspondence in this period is examined and information is transferred. VIII. Section IV. Religious reform of Amenofis is explained.In the course of religious reform, the economic downturn of Egypt, the lack of political goals and the social crisis in Egypt are emphasized.IX. In this section, the period between Tutankhamen and the fall of the Egyptian state is examined. Key Words, Ancient History, Egypt, Amarna Age, Diplomacy Letter, Pharaoh.
