Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the target cherry orchard for Taşova district of Amasya province, in line with economic, technical and environmental objectives. The data to be used in the research were collected from cherry producers in Taşova District through 98 face-to-face surveys. The target programming method, in which maximizing gross income is the main goal, was used to determine the target cherry orchard. The yield values in the gross income calculation used in target programming were calculated by associating them with fruit quality criteria. Other objectives of the programming were to select the best cherry variety(s) that minimizes deviation from gross income due to land, labor and capital constraints. As a result of the research, among the nine varieties currently grown in Taşova District, Karabodur, Lambert and Early Burlat varieties created the best cherry orchard that maximizes gross income. A cherry orchard established with these varieties will be able to grow products for both the domestic and foreign markets and will earn a higher income compared to other varieties, despite the fluctuations in gross income over the years.
