Molecular determination of some viral diseases observed inlettuce fields in Amasya and Tokat provinces

In this study, conducted in Tokat and Amasya provinces between 2022 and 2024, plant samples were collected from the young leaves of plants showing virus symptoms in some lettuce areas in Amasya Center, Tokat Center and Erbaa and Niksar districts of Tokat, where lettuce is grown intensively. 191 lettuce samples collected were subjected to DAS-ELISA and RT-PCR tests, which are molecular methods using virus-specific primers, in order to detect the presence of Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV), Mirafiori lettuce big vein virus (MiLBVV) viruses. was kept.
