Abstract (EN)
Surgical patients are at risk for inadvertant perioperative hypothermia because of the nature of surgery and anesthesia. This study conducted to evaluate the effects of active prewarming on body temperature changes during general anesthesia. In this randomized controlled trial, 70 patients randomly included in control and experimental group. In the trial group, mean body temperature was higher at the beginning of the induction, during the surgery, at the end of the surgery and during recovery. Based on the research results, active warming was found to be more effective and warming the surgical patient preoperatively is recommended in clinical practice settings.
