Comparision of the preferred mode of delivery of anesthetist versus health care staff WHO not working on operating theatre

The birth is the most important and fundamental way for the people in order to reproduce and resume their generation. In this context it is as old as humankind history. Like any other living being people born and die as a result of the law of nature. Birth is a biological event, in this context many conditions have to be fulfilled for this event. For centuries the birth event takes plays according to certain rules and types. However the birth event is a normal event for the women without any health problem birth preference may be change due to some reasons. In this study the comparison of birth preferences of the women anesthesia health professional in operating rooms and the women health professionals out of the operating rooms. For this purpose a total of 206 women health professionals (103 from operating room, 103 out of the operating room) have been included into the study. Questionnaire method was used for data collection in the study. The analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaires was conducted with SPSS program. As a result of the analysis it has seen that 58.3% of the women health professionals preferred cesarean, 41.7% has preferred vaginal birth in their first births. In this study, it was found that 60% of the employees that prefer cesarean birth are operating room employees. It has found that 64% of the employees that prefer normal birth are from out of the operating room. As a result of the statistical analysis, statistically significant difference has determined between the groups in terms of birth preference. As a conclusion; the C-section birth rates of the women working in the surgery rooms were found meaningfully high. This can be interpreted as the propensity of the surgery room staff deciding in favor of C-section birth. Keywords: Birth, Birth Preference, Normal Birth, Cesarean Birth
