Human security assessment of the United States' Afghanistan intervention

The concept of human security aims to provide the conditions necessary for individuals to live an honorable and peaceful life. The concept of human security refers to components that contain economic, social, political, environmental, individual, health, and food security of human life. Because it covers all parts of human life, today human security is at the center of security strategies. While the framework of the concept is tried to be established internationally and academically studies are carried out on how to ensure human security. Defense strategies for threats vary due to the ever-increasing and diversification of threats to human security. In this study, humanitarian security will be evaluated within the framework of the intervention of the United States of America in Afghanistan. While making this evaluation, the historical dimension of security will be discussed, how the understanding of human security has emerged will be examined, and in what dimensions human security occurs, how it is ignored, and where it will be evaluated.
