Abstract (EN)
Throughout World War II, the severe human right violations and the failure of the international community to prevent them leaded non-state actors, to be an active part of the protection of human rights. During this period, non-governmental organizations, as an international actor, came to the fore as a party that could be benefited from their experiences and means as well as being an international pressure instrument. The American human rights system, which emerged as a regional human rights protection mechanism, aims to uncover the rights violations experienced in the Americas and to bring justice to the victims. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the effectiveness and results of the participation of NGOs in judicial processes in the American Human Rights System as a party and as amicus curiae.
