Abstract (EN)
The fall webworm, Hyphantria cunea Drury (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) is a polyphagous pest and causes serious damage, especially in hazelnut fields. In this study, eggs and larvae of H. cunea were collected from two progeny from Düzce and Sakarya provinces in 2020-2021. By following the biological periods of H. cunea, subspecies or subspecies were determined morphologically and molecularly. In addition, was investigated that the development times, effect on survival and spawning of two leading pupal parasitoids of H. cunea, Chouioia cunea Yang (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) and Psychophagus omnivorus (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) at different temperatures (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 °C) and storage times of 15, 30 and 45 days at different temperatures (6 and 12°C). At the end of the study, it was determined that only black-headed larvae of H. cunea were found in both progenies in Düzce and Sakarya provinces for two years. H. cunea female laids about 479,2±257,62 eggs in the first generation, and 500,5±268,89 eggs in the second generation in 2020 and 559,5±290,36 eggs in the first generation, and 511,8±312,09 eggs in the second generation in 2021. The egg stage is 8,30±1,02 days in the first generation, and 8,00±0,78 days in the second generation in 2020, and 8,80±1,29 days in the first generation, and 8,18±0,93 days in the second generation in 2021. H. cunea has six larval stages completed 46,95±4,08 days in the first generation, and 50,45±3,55 days in the second generation in 2020, and 50,05±3,03 days in the first generation, and 50,6±3,79 days in the second generation in 2021. The pupa stage is 11,07±0,83 days in the first generation, and 261,8±13,47 days in the second generation in 2020, and 10,87±0,96 days in the first generation, and 250,60±44,05 days in the second generation in 2021. The best development time of C. cunea is 23,16±0,03 days at 25°C, the from the egg to adult is 167,1±56,38, and the adult's life for a maximum of 21 days. On the other hand, P. omnivorus was determined that the best development period was 20,10± 0,73 days at 25°C, from the egg to adult was 119,7± 20,69, and the adult's life for a maximum of 24 days. In the storage experiments, it was determined that there was no improvement in all intervals.
