The words that are not included in the Compilation Dictionary in the work called "Compilations from the Mother Tongue"

Dialect is a spoken language that can show differences in sound, shape, syntax and meaning within the same language and is specific to certain settlements or classes. Dialect dictionaries are formed as a result of the compilation of these dialect words. One of them is the dictionary consisting of two volumes called "Compilations from the Mother Tongue". The dialect material collected between 1920 and 1930 with the work of the Ministry of Education and the Language Committee was published by Hamit Zübeyir (Koşay) and İshak Refet (Işıtman) in 1932. As a continuation of this work, "Compilations from the Mother Tongue 2" was published by Hamit Zübeyir (Koşay) and Orhan (Aydın) in 1952. This dictionary also has the feature of being the first dialect dictionary of Turkish. Dictionaries are made up of words and are created within the framework of certain rules. In this study, the words that are not included in the Compilation Dictionary in the work called "Compilations from the Mother Tongue" are discussed. Words not found in the Compilation Dictionary were identified by scanning method and filed. In the introduction part of the study, Information was given about the dictionary named Compilations from The Mother Tongue and the authors of the dictionary. Second part; Articles whose one or more meanings are not included in the Compilation Dictionary. Third part; Words with more detailed definitions according to the Compilation Dictionary. Fourth part; Sample sentences that are not included in the Compilation Dictionary. Detected entries are listed in alphabetical order.
