Determination of hidden curriculum in Anatolian imam-hatip high schools (The sample of Konya province)

Hidden curriculum which is out of formal programme and formed of hidden messages started to be discussed in scientific studies and it is proved scientifically that hidden curriculum is as efficient as formal curriculum at least. It is observed that hidden curriculum is used for transference of religious, national and moral values and getting dominant ideologies of states through new generations significantly. For this, coursebooks, hidden items in school buildings and guidance in schools, expectation centered hidden culture are used. Visuals, information boxes, activity sides in coursebooks; school buildings columns, walls and boards are basic fields that hidden curriculum's items and doctrines take part. In the context of hidden curriculum forming research's subject; when Anatolian Imam Hatip High School vocational coursebooks are investigated, visuals, information boxes, activity sides, verses and hadiths especially sentence gaps or let's comment parts, various research texts and questions; when investigated Anatolian Imam Hatip High Schools buildings verses hadiths, words of wisdoms and visuals on columns, walls and boards of this buildings; schools guidance and expectations that formed by school management and teachers for interiorizing religious, national and moral values by students are seen as hidden curriculums factors. In this study, hidden curriculum in Anatolian Imam Hatip High Schools was studied to present in Konya province sample, vocational coursebooks and hidden items and doctrines in school buildings walls, columns and boards and in the context of school guidance and expectations. suggestions were offered by reaching results at the end of this study.
