One of the most important issues of the kalam science on the public agenda is predestination belief. Aforementioned belief fact has also been reflected into the Turkish people's evaluations about different experienced. The most obvious manifestation of this situation is seen in Turkish folk songs. In folk songs, concepts such as "talih", "kısmet", "yazı", "alın yazısı", "felek", and "baht" have been referenced to express predestination belief. To express predestination belief concepts such as "talih", "kısmet", "yazı", "alın yazısı", "felek", and "baht" have been chosen. These concepts have been used in the pieces to explain the unfortunate events generally. In folk songs, predestination has been manifested as an unavoidable, unchangeable, and having exactly predetermination character. Therefore, that overshadows the will and responsibilities of individual in context of events are being and will be experienced. Jebr attitude turning into a fatalist belief principle in time has been extremely effective on the formation of such a situation in folk songs. This common attitude, accepted also by Turkish people, has become a chronicled belief principle by the effect of some political, cultural, and religious factors throughout the all historical process. This predestination belief which also has been mentioned in folk songs is just opposite of destiny belief of Quran, that is mainly based on will and responsibility.
