Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to evaluate the usability and design elements of Anadolu University's Anadolu Mobile application. Data was collected through online surveys during the 2024-2025 academic year, initially from 16,088 volunteer students. After data cleaning and quality checks, analyses were conducted with 15,970 participants. The instruments used included a Demographic Information Form, the System Usability Scale (SUS), and the Mobile Application Usability Scale (MAUS). Statistical analyses involved Kruskal-Wallis tests, Dunn post-hoc tests, and Spearman correlation analysis. The results showed an average SUS score of 56.56, indicating a poor usability perception. The MAUS average score was 182.6, reflecting a moderate-to-good perception of the design. Demographic factors (gender, age, education level, technological proficiency, and usage frequency) significantly affected usability perception. A weak to moderate positive correlation was found between SUS and MAUS scores. The findings suggest that while the application has usability shortcomings, certain design elements are positively perceived. Recommendations include simplifying navigation and improving visual design.
