Abstract (EN)

Adjustable speed drives are reported to be very susceptible to voltage dips. In this study, the behaviour of standard induction motor drives are investigated under voltage dips. The methods maintaining ride-through operation of induction motors and sensible electronic devices are mentioned. The studies to improve the ride-through operation of standart drives are briefly explained. A new method is proposed to maintain ride-through operation of an adjustable speed drive without loss of performance. The advantages and disadvantages of the proposed method are explained. The method proposed is tested under voltage dips. Voltage-torque curves are showed. Keywords: Adjustable speed drives, Induction motors, Ride-through, Voltage dips.
