Abstract (EN)

Turkey in particular has accelerated migration from villages to cities from the xx.yüzyıl the second half. Ankara is at the top of the list due to the effect of being the capital at the beginning of the provinces receiving migration. In crowded cities, the demand for recreation areas has increased. Especially the ponds, lakes, dams and rivers shore recreation angling is increasing rapidly. The most important recreation activities are fishing, which is not intended for financial and commercial gain, only for sports or recreational purposes, and where the catch is not sold. In the field study socio-economic status of fishermen was investigated. The hunting seasons, hunting hours and durations of the amateur fishermen, their adequacy of their catch, the continuity of the stocks they catch and the relative amount of catch in the hunting were determined. The reliability of the catches in fisheries health, their opinions and thoughts about hunting rules, ownership status of amateur angling certificate, whether they are aware of an institution that controls laws and regulations were investigated. The results of the study aimed to shed light on fishermen who have devoted themselves to recreation angling. In addition, it is aimed to increase the number of amateur fishermen with a high level of consciousness that will contribute to sustainable and continuous fishing by raising the awareness level.
