Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study was to diagnose and test the pathogenicity of Fusarium species obtained from wilted melons in the most widely melon growing areas of Ankara. For this purpose, 176 Fusarium isolates were identified from plants showing symptomps peculiar to disease in 5 different districts of Ankara. Also, the 65 of them were used for pathogenicity test between 2013 and 2014. As a result, 10 Fusarium species (F. equiseti, F.oxysporum, F. solani, F. sambucinum, F. semitectum, F. acuminatum, F. graminearum, F. proliferatum, F. brachyibbosum and F. redolens) were identified. From 10 Fusarium species 65 isolates were tested in controlled conditions for their pathogenicity by using soil inoculation method on the cultivar melon. The pathogenicity of evaluation was made after 45 days from sowing. The end of pathogenicity test, it was observed that 14 of the F. oxsysporum and 7 of F. solani isolates caused disease more than 50% wilt by soil inoculation method. The pathogenicity of F. semitectum, F. proliferatum, F. graminearum isolates was found less than 40%. It was identified that F. equiseti, F. sambucinum, F. acuminatum, F. brachyibbosum ve F. redolens have not any infection.
