Abstract (EN)

In this study, the tradition of telling the folk songs that form part of the oral tradition, which is one of the most important carriers of Turkish Folk culture, and the folk songs around the axis of Ankara province. Folk music and folk dances are the characteristic of Ankara region that increases folklorik wealth. It contains traces from almost every area from the turning points of life to beliefs, from daily life to food culture, from ceremonies and celebrations to humor culture. The first aim of our thesis is to create a resource that collects the texts of Ankara folk songs and thus to contribute to Turkish folklore researches, to form a step for other studies to be carried out in this sense. In our study, TRT Turkısh Folk Music repertoire and other sources with Ankara songs were used, and the related sources were scanned and the text of the hundred and forty songs was reached. The text of two hundred and forty folk songs has been classified and analyzed in terms of shape and subject in accordance with folklore methods. In the last part of our study, the words belonging to the region are given by dictionary study. All folk names in the study were listed alphabetically and ended with the thesis directory section.
