Abstract (EN)
Anxiety is a condition characterized by intense feelings of worry, fear, and tension. Anxiety disorders describe a persistent and excessive state of apprehension that significantly impacts a person's daily life. Anxiety has become an increasingly prevalent issue in the modern world, negatively affecting individuals' quality of life. It is believed that psychotherapeutic approaches with a materialistic focus, neglecting the spiritual dimension, have not been entirely successful in addressing and treating anxiety. Hence, this study aims to explore the role of prophetic teachings, which are considered to integrate both the material and spiritual aspects of coping with anxiety. In this study, both the material and spiritual distress caused by anxiety in contemporary society are examined. Furthermore, the ways in which prophetic teachings contribute to overcoming anxiety and attaining tranquility are explored, supported by verses and hadiths. Prophetic teachings offer guidance on alleviating and coping with anxiety. This study demonstrates that prophetic teachings play an important role in coping with anxiety. There is a positive correlation between concepts such as supplication, remembrance of Allah, contemplation, prayer, faith in destiny, reliance on Allah, seeking forgiveness, recitation of the Quran, istikhārah, faith in the afterlife, gratitude, and individuals' levels of psychological well-being and their ability to cope with anxiety. Furthermore, activities such as engaging in sports, traveling, and enjoying permissible things, which are also encouraged in the hadiths, help reduce anxiety and provide mental relaxation. The effects of Islamic values and practices in combating anxiety support individuals' mental and psychological health. Therefore, these teachings serve as valuable guidance for individuals who incorporate them into their lives.
