Abstract (EN)
The present study aims to investigate the parental bonding pattern of mothers with a child diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. A total of 40 mothers' bonding to their own parents were compared to 40 mothers' parental bonding, who has healthy children. Participants were selected by convenient sampling method. Data were collected from the mothers who applied at the psychiatric outpatient clinics of the city hospital and a private institution in the province of Kayseri between November 2018 and December 2018. Sociodemographic data form and Parental Bonding Inventory (PBI) were used as data collection tools. Data were analyzed using SPSS programs with descriptive analysis (mean, standard deviation, p-value), t-test, two-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation tests. Findings of the study revealed that mothers of children with anxiety disorder perceived less care from their own parents and they rated their parents as more neglecting.
